Pairing wine and cheese is an art form perfected by the French and embraced by the Argentines. The sommelier and maître fromager in this hotel’s La Vinoteca will pair Argentina’s best regional cheeses, which are encased in an elegantly outfitted room of their own, with any of Duhau’s 3,500 bottles of wine. The sumptuous spaces in the hotel make it one of those properties you’ll want to wander through, especially the art gallery in the passage connecting the original mansion to the new hotel addition. If you happen to be there on a beautiful day, a meal on the patio overlooking the terraced grounds will make you feel you’ve landed in manicured heaven! The hotel is in the historical French district so if you’re a fan of Baroque, a stroll through the neighborhood will be an added bonus.
