Dubai International Airport is currently expanding.

Miles from downtown: 2.5
Number of Terminals: 3

Serving the largest of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai International Airport acts as a major hub in the Middle East. The airport began expansion plans in 2004, opening a third terminal in 2008. Phase two of construction, which includes an expo center and exhibition halls, should be complete by the end of 2011.

Al Majlis VIP Service // Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, this service truly tends to your every need. A personal assistant handles all travel formalities, plus there are separate facilities that include 17 private lounges, snacks and beverages and a dedicated duty free center (with a personal shopper). Access starts at $500.

Duty Free // Dubai takes the duty free shopping experience to the next level, with multiple shopping areas that bring in annual sales of $1.1 billion, making it the largest airport retail operation in the world.

Dubai International Hotel // Built within the terminal, this five-star hotel is home to 350 rooms, business centers, two gyms (which are accessible for a fee if you are not staying at the hotel) and many of the airport’s eating establishments, including the popular Obergine and Irish Pub. It’s great for a quick rest between flights or even as the center of your Dubai stay.
