Part deli with specialty cheeses and artisanal olive oil, part bakery with fantastic pizza, and part restaurant and wine bar, Roscioli should definitely be on your list when in Rome. For starters, go with the buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto and sundried tomatoes and black pepper and balsamic reduction. When it comes to fresh pastas, try Roscioli’s take on the classic carbonara with crispy pig cheeks, Paolo Parisi eggs and pecorino cheese. After the first two courses, there are plenty of meat and seafood entrees to choose from, including grilled baby squid with burrata cheese and steak with sweet and sour baby onions.
