Touch down anywhere on this popular street, and you’ll find yourself smack-dab in the midst of action, as the thoroughfare is populated by dance and rock clubs, lounges and bars. Many Hongdae clubs collaborate on the last Friday night of the month for “Club Day” when a single entry fee will grant you access to all the participating clubs in the area. Many of them invite famous Korean or foreign artists and DJs to sing or spin for the night. The most noted among the venues have the longest queues, including M2, NB and Harlem, but if seeing Seoul’s hip A-listers is paramount, be sure to stick around.
