"Since I'm in NYC so often, I would have to say my favorite street in the city (it's actually an avenue) is First Avenue. For me, First Avenue represents everything that's great about NYC, in that the city provides enrichment in all shapes and sizes.
From all the way down south at First Avenue and First Street, Juice Press is creating the best cold pressed juice in the city; to Midtown where the wonderful medical facilities like NYU Langone Medical Center are located; and to the Upper East Side at 74th Street for a great Italian meal at Campagnola. Finally, we end up at First Avenue and 100th Street where the real excitement begins. Take a left from First Avenue onto 100th Street and you're in for a pleasant surprise.
While a bit out of place amongst the grey scenery of city buildings, you'll face the most beautiful baseball field in New York City, second only to Yankee Stadium, and the home of Harlem RBI. Harlem RBI is an organization that has been revitalizing the community and impacting youth of all ages for more than 20 years.
I am a proud supporter and an active board member of Harlem RBI. In just a few months, I am thrilled to say we will break ground to build a new permanent home for Harlem RBI and its DREAM Charter School, which will enable [the organization] to continue reaching out to 1,200 boys and girls every year. If you want to learn more about this initiative or would like to donate a brick to help build this incredible school, please visit dreamteam25.org.
Lastly, a couple of minutes further up First Avenue to the Major Deegan will take you directly to Yankee Stadium ... you can sit back, relax and take in a Yankee game on a beautiful summer night!”
